Statement From The Artist

Wood and fire have always been a passionate source of creativity for me. My sculptural work explores the relationship between form, movement, transformation, and the elemental qualities of fire.

My fire sculptures are designed as immersive experiences that engage the senses and invite viewers to encounter sculpture in a fundamentally different way. During daylight, the work exists as a physical structure—something to be observed, approached, and experienced from within. After dark, fire transforms that same structure, revealing an entirely new presence through light, color, heat, movement, and sound.

I have come to think of the sculpture as the stage or backdrop, and fire as the performer. The sculpture provides the physical framework, while fire gives it life, movement, and an ever-changing character. What begins as an inanimate form becomes something dynamic and fleeting—a performance that can never be experienced in exactly the same way twice. Through this interplay of structure and fire, I seek to create moments of awe, curiosity, and connection between the viewer and the work.
